David's Hope and our team of volunteers work across Arizona to reduce the number of people with mental disorders and addictions who are incarcerated. You are invited to contact me, Mary Lou Brncik, founding director of David's Hope at [email protected] I would love to share with you regarding our efforts and learn about your experiences in the world of mental health and criminal justice. We can offer many opportunities for you to engage in volunteer service and would be honored to hear from you.
I began doing this work when my own son was diagnosed with a serious mental illness. I realized then, that it was often easier for a person living with a mental disorder to get a jail or prison bed than it was a mental health treatment bed. I want to make a difference for you, your family members and your loved ones.
